The fishermen, local hunters and the sealskin tannery Great Greenland clearly shows the intimate relationship with the riches of the sea. The gardens of Qaqortoq, the nearby sheepfarms, the impressive norse church ruin of Hvalsey and the Farming Research Station of Upernaviarsuk a short boat ride away all ties up with the farming culture of South Greenland.
